Kennedee got the great news today that she may play soccer again. The doctor said her X-rays looked worse than three weeks ago, but he would treat the patient and not the X-rays. If she doesn't feel any pain she may play when she thinks she is ready. She thinks that is now. I am not sure I agree.
Her first game was supposed to be tonight, but when we woke up this morning there was about 3 inches of fresh snow on the ground, (isn't it supposed to be spring). They changed the game to tomorrow. Kennedee insists she will be able to play. I told her she can dress and warm up with her team but as far as playing in the game, we will wait and see how it goes.
Kennedee almost did back flips out of the doctors office. It has been killing her to sit on the side lines and not play. She is a player not a spectator.

Day off

The kids got to take a very rare day off school. Nana was in the hospital and just had surgery. Madison went to breakfast with me, grandma and Stran and Kennedee got to stay with grandpa and go visit her old school and all her friends.
We went to IHOP and Madi ordered the Horton Hears a Who breakfast. They make it look so good in the ads. Madison hated the green eggs and ham and who wouldn't. Just look at them. She didn't even like the pancakes with colored chocolate chips. They just didn't taste like mom's chocolate chips pancakes. She ate very litte and as soon as we got the hospital she said she was hungry. Nana is doing well and is at home recovering.
Kennedee and her cast
Kennedee broke her foot a couple of weeks ago and had a cast. The soccer season starts today and it is killing her to sit on the side lines. I haven't been letting her go to practice although she should, because I know she won't sit still and I don't want her to hurt it worse. Last week the cast was falling off, every time she would walk, pieces of the cast would be left behind. She got the cast off and we finally go to back to the doctor monday to see if she can have the go ahead to play.

Easter 2008
I thought since we now lived so far (ok 80 miles) from our family we needed to start blogging so every one knows what we are up to.
Yesterday was Easter and the girls had so much fun. They got to find lots of Easter Eggs and got a lot of candy. Kennedee keeps going on her no candy kick, but then she caves.
We had lots of fun hanging out with the family. We went from living with them to not seeing them more than once a month. It has been hard but I think we are finally adjusting.
Nana decided she wanted to be a biker chick and got on Mark's motorcycle. She could get on just fine but Mark had to lift her off. She thinks she is 20 again.
When we were packing up to leave a rabbit ran up the street, it ran so fast and we all laughed and said there goes the easter bunny. I am not sure the kids believed us.
Madison was awake at 5 in the morning and on the way home I asked her if she would fall asleep, she said no and when I looked in the back seat, she had her head back and her mouth open and was sound asleep. It was pretty cute.
Kennedee has her cast on for one more week. Over the weekend the cast started falling apart and off. It won't last another week. But I called the doctor and no one is on the office for one more week. She will have to deal with it. We hope all is well and she can play soccer soon. The season starts this weekend.
