The results are in

We went to the doctor AGAIN today. Third time this week. We went for the results of her MRI's. Thank heavens there are no tears in her ligaments. She has alot of brusing on the bones and some stress fractures in the latice. He spoke a foreign medical language but that is the jist of it. She will be out for a bit. Right now she can barely walk and after all day on crutches she was in a lot of pain, so now she has a wheel chair to use at school. As soon as she can walk on both feet, she can start physical therapy. As soon as she is 150% she can get back on the field, but I am pretty sure that won't be at least for a month. She is still very swollen and tender.
Tonight Kennedee's soccer team gets to be ball girls at the National Womens team VS Mexico game. She is so excited to meet her idols and be on the field with them. What a great experience. Even though she will use crutches she still gets to be close to the action.

Back from Vegas

All of these feet stayed in the same room.
We got back to Vegas early this morning. It was a great weekend to spend as a family but not for soccer.
We left after Kennedee and Rachel got out of school on friday. The 4 of us sang songs and giggled and laughed the whole way. The ride was alot of fun. We stopped in St George with the Binghams and mom, Meme, Stran and Hadlee and had dinner at Chili's. Madi rode the rest of the way with Stran and Kennedee, Rachel and I turned the radio up loud and sang at the top of our lungs.
The girls decorated our cars with their #'s and go Sparta. They thought that was pretty cool. They were so excited to get to sunny Vegas and play some soccer. Saturday's first game was at noon. 10 minutes into the first game Kennedee was running full speed towards the ball and the other girl kicked the ball the same time she did. She rolled one ankle as she kicked and she flew through the air and rolled the other ankle and came down on her back. She was done for the rest of the game. She had to be carried to the medical tent to have ice put on both ankles and sat on the side lines the rest of that game. Her next game was at 8 and she was determined to play no matter what. They won the first one and just needed to tie the second to be in first. She came out and played amazing in the second game, she was on pure adranaline. 2 minutes left of the game the other team had a lucky shot and we lost. After the game she couldn't get to the car fast enough. She was in so much pain. She tried to play the consolation game on sunday but just couldn't do it. On the ride home, her feet kept swelling.
Before going to the doctor today I had already told her she was done with soccer for awhile. It is time to focus on Kennedee the kid, not Kennedee the soccer player. These ankles need to get better, once and for all. Right now she can't even walk. The doctor said she may have torn her tendons, so we are going in for a MRI later this week. She has a boot on one foot and the other is wrapped. For now she is taking a much needed break from soccer and she is getting herself better. She is not happy at all about it but realizes it needs to be done.
Other than the injury we had a great weekend with the family and we love spending time with them.

Vegas Baby

We are Vegas bound this weekend for another soccer tournament. I was so looking forward to the sun shine but today is rainy and cloudy. Hopefully it clears up and is nice weather to watch soccer. The family is coming with us and we get to hang out with Stran and Hadlee.
Last weekend we spent it at my parents. It is so much fun to watch Stran and see how much he changes every time I see him. Kennedee and Madison have such a good time up there. Kennedee loves holding Hadlee and playing with her, she is so fun to snuggle. Kennedee was able to sleep over at Baylees and see her while we were there. Kennedee also got her first experience at driving. I let her drive my car to the gas station and then home from Baylee's. I can't believe she is almost old enough to drive legally.
The 3 term is over and Madison got straight A's. Kennedee did ok but not as well as the first 2. With all that was going on she missed to many days and had a hard time catching up. This last term will be much better.
Madison is playing softball. She has never been on a team and wanted to give it a try. Her dad has been practicing with her a little and at tryouts last night I was pleasantly surprised at how well she did. She is a good player and I think she may really enjoy it. Her dance recital is coming up soon and she got her costume. She has tried it on and danced around the kitchen. She has learned 2 dances and is excited to show us.
