Packing Packing Packing

It seems all I have done is pack pack pack. I have painted both the girls new rooms and they are so excited to get new bedding to match. I will be happy in 1 week, when the move is over and we can unpack. I will be happy to have a 15 minutes commute to work. And I will be very happy if it ever stops raining and we get summer.
This weekend I had my work party at Boondocks. The kids have been looking forward to going. And since Kennedee's soccer team didn't do very well at Regionals she was home early and able to go with us. Jaime had been in the hospital most of the week and can't pick up Stran so we kept him friday night and he went with us too.
Thwe weather didn't really cooperate. It was cold and rainy. We had a good time and we wore Stran out. We got rain checks so we can go back again.
I finally broke down and got Gucci's hair cut. I was so afraid if I did she would loose her color and be all white, but even shaved she has brown hair. She is such a fun little dog. She is super smart and loves to cuddle with who ever she can. The kids love her and miss her when they aren't around.

Weekend Retreat

This weekend Madi and I went to St George just the 2 of us for the weekend. We had such a great time together. On friday we got to the hotel and swam for a bit and then went to Tuachan to see Annie, it was so incredible. Saturday we slept in and went to breakfast, did a little shopping and wanted to go swimming but it was raining. We waited it out and was able to go to the pool. We were there for an hour and it started pouring, so we went to the room and chilled. A little later the sun came out and we went back to the pool. We stayed for a couple of hours and had to leave to get ready to go to Tuachan again. Saturday night we saw Footloose. It was a good show, but I liked Annie better. We got back to the hotel way late but sunday morning we got up early and had breakfast and the weather was super warm so went to the pool. Kennedee was heading to California for her soccer regionals with her dad and they stopped in St George to get some things from us. Madi and I packed up and hugged Kennedee and we headed home. TO THE RAIN AND COLD!!! Isn't it June? I took Madi up to Grandma and Grandpa's to stay for the week while Kennedee is in California. I kissed the dog and Madi good bye and headed home.
I hope Kennedee plays very well and I hope her team makes it far. I am always sad when the kids are gone, but since we are moving in less than 2 weeks, I will be busy painting their rooms and packing our stuff. I will be so glad when the move is over. I will miss our friends where we live now very much. I appreciate everything everyone has done for my kids and I and I am glad we have blogs to keep up with eachother.
The weekend was very relaxing and perfect. Now back to the grind and the crazy move.

Life is getting so hectic that the weekends we can relax we love. Last weekend we headed up north after Kennedee's early morning soccer practice and spent the weekend at grandma and grandpa's. We went to the North Ogden pool and swam, Stran loved it and it was a lot of fun watching him. After that we all went to the trout farm and caught some fish. Madi would only feed the fish and Kennedee took the hooks out of the fish and Stran just loved the whole thing. He would laugh so hard it would make us all laugh. To top the evening off we went to the drive in. Madi and Kennedee fell asleep and mom and I stayed up and watched the movie.
Kennedee leaves for California in 2 weeks for regionals and she is pretty excited. They had soccer tryouts and she made the team again. She is pretty happy about that.
In 3 weeks we move. I am so happy to get out of the place we live, besides the traffic and it taking me up to 1.5 hours to get home from work, I am happy to get away from some of our neighbors. In the last year some weird ones have moved in and it makes me a little nervous at times. We will live closer to my work so I will be closer to the kids and we will live close to Kennedee's friend. One of the main reasons for where we are moving to. Kennedee is so excited and Madison is too. Jane is already so good to help out with practice and living so close to them will be nice so we can switch off taking our girls to soccer and Madison will be able to do the things she wants to because she won't always have to go sit at practice. It is farther away from family, but I am sure it will be a good move and without change you can't grow. I just am not looking forward to the packing and unpacking.
