State Champs

I am so proud of Kennedee and her soccer team. This weekend they won state cup. They are the #1 team in the state in the U13 bracket. They will be heading to Lancaster CA in June for the regional finals. Kennedee has come a long way in the year she has played with Sparta. She has battled some injuries and her confidence. She has been on fire the last couple months. The final game was 3-0 and Kennedee scored 2 of the 3 goals. She scored in all but 1 of the state cup games. Sparta only allowed 2 goals the whole tournament. They played 5 games in all and dominated all 5. Friday night Kennedee slept ove at Rachels and the 2 of them were so nervous, they didn't talk much the whole night. Kennedee had never made it this far and her tension level was pretty high. She came out in the game and you could tell she was nervous but after she scored the first goal she calmed down a lot and got down to business. Practicing and playing 6 days a week and watching what she eats has paid off.
Last night we went to a family soccer party at one of her team mates house. She has a big pool and had it catered by Olive Garden. The kids were in good spirits and we all had a lot of fun. Kennedee had another sleep over with her friend Maddy and today after church she has taken a 2 hour nap so far. She needs the rest.
Tomorrow for the big holiday we are chilling at home and sitting by the pool, if it is warm. Kennedee will be practicing a lot in the coming weeks so the nice relaxing holiday is nice.

Kennedee's soccer team has won both games in the state cup so far. They play again tomorrow night. Yay!!
Our lives can be so crazy and we always have something going on, so this weekend it was so nice to chill. Friday night we headed up north to stay at my parents, Gucci had a vet appointment early saturday morning and I like the vet up there. That little puppy is so much fun. She only weighs 2.7 lbs. Up .2 since we got her. She is such a cuddly little thing. She loves to snuggle with us. She loves to play outside and chase anyone who will let her. She is pretty quick for being so little. I am very happy with our choice in her. Thanks Kim for suggesting her instead. She is a perfect fit for us. She is a little diva. When it is cold in the morning she will tiptoe on the grass and then do her business and hop off so her feet don't get cold. It cracks me up.
After the vet the 3 of us, Stran, Jaime and Mom all went to the Treehouse. The kids loved it. Kennedee is a little to old for it, but she is such a nerd she made her own fun. For lunch we went to my favorite place, El Matador. Yummy!! While we were out and about we did our grocery shopping and then chilled at my parents. On the way home all three girls slept. It was a fun day.
On sunday we all chilled. We have all been sick all week and needed some down time. And it was so sunny that we spent alot of time out side laying in the sun. It was a nice quiet day to just hang out the 3 of us plus a puppy and enjoy each others company. I have the best kids ever and we have such a good time together. We are always laughing at something. I just love my life!!

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day to me. I finally broke down and bought a new car this weekend. I have been stressing and loosing sleep over my old car. I love the car and love driving it but it had so many miles on it and needed a lot of work. As much as I drive I didn't want to be stranded on the side of the road with 2 kids. It took a lot for me to break down and buy something new. I am happy to feel secure again.
Kennedee has had games 4 out of the last 6 days. She has been on fire, even with sore hips. Yesterday they played Steam at the State Cup. There has been a pretty big rivarly with this team and Kennedee's team spanked them. She was so happy and so was I. If Sparta wins this tournament they will be state champs 3 years in a row. Go Sparta!!!
We spent saturday and sunday and my parents. Sunday we picked up Aunt Mame and all went to the cematary. We all shed some tears as we put flowers on Nana's grave, but I think we are getting more used to her not being here. I still don't like it but it gets easier every day.
There is only 3 weeks left of school. Yay. We are all excited for the summer to get here. The kids can't wait to be able to sleep in and I can't wait for the heat.

Weekend in Review

This has been a pretty relaxing weekend.
Friday night Madi and I dropped Kennedee off at practice and found some shopping to entertain us for the 2 hours. Lucky for us since it was raining the whole time. Kennedee had a game saturday morning. While they were warming up it was pouring. Madi and I sat in the car until game time and it just drizzled. Her team won and Kennedee got a yellow card. She was so proud.
After the game we spent the afternoon at Ikea with Mom, Jaime and Stran. It was a good afternoon to spend walking and getting lost in that store. It was so fun to see Stran and give him kisses and have him give me loves.
Saturday evening we chilled and watched movies, Kennedee's friend Maddy slept over and the 2 of them stayed up all night.
Sunday we went to church and chilled the rest of the day. It was a nice spiritual fast sunday. Madi and I tried to take Gucci for a evening stroll but she wasn't have any of it in the drizzle rain.
Time to get ready for a crazy week. Kennedee has 2 make up games and a regular game to get done before State Cup this saturday. I am so excited for their first game saturday morning. Kick some butt Kennedee!!
